Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our defense proposal writing services.

What types of defense proposals do you write?

We write white papers, concept papers, DARPA BAA responses, AFWERX Open Topic and Specific Topic proposals, Army and Navy SBIR/STTR Phase I and Phase II applications, Direct to Phase II (D2P2) technical volumes, ARPA-E concept papers and full applications, NATO DIANA proposals, and STRATFI/TACFI capability packages.

What are the advantages of using a specialist defense proposal writer?

Defense solicitations have unique requirements that differ significantly from civilian grants. Our writers understand DSIP submission requirements, DoD evaluation criteria, DARPA BAA structures, and the specific language and framing that defense reviewers expect. All of our writers have a minimum of five years experience, have received their own government funding, and have served on grant review panels.

Are there any add-on or hidden costs?

All prices quoted are for the complete deliverable. White papers, concept papers, and Phase I applications are fixed-price. Full BAA responses and technical volumes are scoped per solicitation. There are no hidden fees or surcharges.

What do I receive when I engage your services?

After payment, you receive a 30-minute consultation with one of our defense domain experts who will assess your technology, identify the target solicitation, and scope the engagement. We then assign your project to a writer with expertise in your specific technology area (e.g., nuclear systems, autonomous platforms, directed energy, advanced materials, cyber, AI/ML).

How long does it take to write a defense proposal?

White papers and concept papers typically take 5–7 business days. DoD SBIR/STTR Phase I applications take approximately 2–3 weeks. Full BAA responses and technical volumes require 3–5 weeks depending on the solicitation complexity and page requirements.

Do you provide a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)?

Absolutely. We understand the sensitivity of defense-related intellectual property and proprietary information. We sign an NDA before receiving any documentation. If you do not have an NDA, we provide one free of charge.

What happens to my files after delivery?

Once the proposal has been delivered, all files relating to the project are deleted from our servers and the file space overwritten using the industry accepted seven-pass pattern: 0xF6, 0x00, 0xFF, random, 0x00, 0xFF, random. The only file retained is the NDA to comply with its terms (typically 1–5 years).

Do you guarantee funding?

No. While we have a 47.8% overall success rate (compared to the 18% national average), we do not control the decisions of review panels or funding agencies. We guarantee the quality of the proposal deliverable, not the funding outcome.
